About
I am a Southern California native, grew up in Orange County and have called San Diego my home for the over ten years. I have been working in the architecture field since 1998 and graduated from Woodbury University with a Bachelors of Architecture in 2002. I currently hold the position of Project Manager/ Designer with a small La Jolla architecture firm, which I have been a part of since 2001. We specialize in custom residential and historic preservation projects throughout San Diego County, with occasional projects in Orange and LA Counties.
I have been, and am still working towards obtaining my architectural license. Unfortunately, I am one of those unlucky souls who now have to retake all the exams, including exams already passed. The Architect Registration Exam has been changed and adjusted from nine exams down to seven exams, thus combining subjects together. I was unable to complete the old nine test program known as 3.1 in time; I had passed five exams. So I have been transitioned into the new 4.0 seven exam program. I am at square one and now have seven new tests ahead of me. I will be sharing my experiences, frustrations and hopefully successes of taking these new exams and becoming a licensed architect.
Architectural photography is a newer interest of mine, which has been developing quickly. I will share my images and experiences as I learn to capture the story of a building in a photograph.
Enjoy and thank you.
